About the Call
The 2nd Asian Ranger Congress offers an exciting opportunity for rangers, researchers, experts, and conservation organisations to share their work and experiences with peers from across Asia.
If you are interested in delivering a storytelling session, talk, or presentation during the Congress, we invite you to submit a proposal. We particularly welcome contributions from rangers working on the ground, as well as from organisations supporting ranger capacity, welfare, and recognition.
Session Formats
20 minutes + 10 minutes Q&A
Plenary Presentation
Full congress presentation on a significant research finding, conservation initiative, or policy development relevant to rangering in Asia.
60–90 minutes
Workshop / Working Group
Interactive facilitated session exploring a specific theme or challenge, resulting in practical outputs or recommendations.
Display throughout congress
Poster Presentation
Visual presentation of research, projects, or initiatives — ideal for field-based conservation work and case studies.
5 minutes
Lightning Talk
Rapid-fire presentation of a single insight, innovation, or lesson learned from the field.
Please note: Proposals will only be accepted where there is direct and meaningful involvement of rangers. Submissions from organisations or researchers must clearly demonstrate active ranger participation in the proposed session.

Proposals should be aligned with the themes of the Congress. Priority thematic areas include:

How to Submit
Proposals should include a title, abstract, preferred format, and contact details. The submission portal will open in 2026. In the meantime, contact us at rangerfederationofasia@gmail.com to register your interest.
